Come expecting the unexpected
Our evening service is an innovative and adaptable service that changes each week depending on where God’s calling us. This tends to be our more contemporary service with a typically more modern worship style, however, this doesn’t always mean louder. Some weeks we take an acoustic approach and sometimes there is no music at all.
During these services we have a more collaborative approach in our learning about God’s word and they are often much more interactive. Some examples of services include:
- Q&A sessions with the Pastor (ask your hardest questions)
- Watching a Christian movie (there will be popcorn)
- Stop & Start Sermons (where you in groups tackle the Word before sharing together as a community)
- Taize services (prayerful form of worship)
Participation over perfection
As these services are more innovative, sometimes we might try something new and it might be a disaster. We’re okay with that. We believe in trying everything once to try and find new ways to honour and praise God as we come together in community.
We value participation over perfection and whilst we always aim to do our best, sometimes technology might fail or a preacher might stumble over their words. We approach these situations with grace and humility as we learn together as a family.
All are welcome
These services typically attract our young adults and youth, however, they aren’t exclusively designed for this age demographic either. No matter your age, you are welcome to attend and take part.
Moreover, after each service we share together in a meal or evening snack as we spend time in fellowship with one another. We invite you to stay and get to know each other as we do life together and support our wider community.
There is no room for judgement
As these services tend to be different each week, come expecting the unexpected. Be assured that you are always welcome to join in, bringing an open heart to what has been prepared. However, you are welcome to sit back and watch rather than actively participate if you so choose as well. There is no room for judgment in this church.
